SHORT AND SWEET
Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at 04:06PM I never like to show up empty handed. And sometimes bringing your host or hostess the ubiquitous bottle of vino feels a bit witless. In that case, it's fun to whip up something simple to take along as a token. This brown sugar shortbread does the trick- and with only a handful of ingredients, you can whip these up in no time.

Using brown sugar adds depth to the flavor and a good sprinkle of kosher salt on the top makes it my new favorite salty sweet treat. Here's my take on this classic treat with a little twist. So simple, any shawty can pull it off.

I will be making this delicious treat shortly...or should I say "shawt-ly"
I, as the hostess, am here to say not only did these sweet and salty treats wow and amaze but now I want MORE. So until we invite this gracious guest over again, it looks as though I am going to have to get shawty and try it! Thank you for raising the bar, not only for hostess gifts but overall life style, Caits. xxoxo
I wish you would quit stealing my amazing recipes! Though your rendition looks delicious:)
As a fellow party goer, who always brings the 4th bottle of wine with all the other guests, I got to enjoy these amazing treats. They were light, but extremely tasty...perfect for after dinner:) I will be trying them shortly!
